Koosh-uhn is a proudly South African, home-based studio where thoughtful design and handcrafted quality come together. We create beautiful, practical pieces for little ones, homes and life’s special moments.

My love for creating was nurtured from a young age. One grandmother taught me how to sew (and gifted me my very first sewing machine, which we still use from time to time), while the other encouraged endless creativity through arts and crafts. I never imagined that these early lessons would one day grow into a business that allows me to do what I love every day.

I went on to study BSc Consumer Science, completing my honours degree in Fashion and Interior Design. After getting married, my husband and I moved to a small town, which meant leaving my 9–5 behind. What started as making items for friends and family soon became something much bigger. Koosh-uhn was born as a way to focus my ideas and create practical, multi-use products for babies and homes.

As a mom of two, every product we design is inspired by real life and has been used, tested and loved in our own home. Functionality, comfort and timeless aesthetics are at the heart of everything we make.

Giving back is deeply important to me. We partner with a community sewing project that empowers women by teaching them valuable sewing skills, and they proudly assist with the production of our products. This allows Koosh-uhn to support local craftsmanship while uplifting others along the way.

The greatest joy of running Koosh-uhn is being able to build a business around my family and being present for my children as they grow, while creating products that bring comfort and beauty into other homes. Every order supports this dream, and for that, I am truly grateful.
